Akwa Ibom state government set to import 2,000 pregnant cattle from Mexico

The Akwa Ibom State Government has concluded plans to import 2,000 pregnant cows into the state. According to the state's Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh, the cows now under quarantine are expected to arrive the state from Mexico.
He said the importation of the cows was strictly a business venture and to make the state self-sufficiency in meat production.
